Dr Delaney is an extremely well qualified and experienced ophthalmologist performing cataract surgery, corneal surgery and refractive surgery.

Dr Delaney is the Head of the Eye Department of the renowned St Vincent's Clinic in Sydney. Dr Delaney carries out all his cataract and corneal surgery at St Vincent's and he uses the Perfect Vision Laser Correction facilities in Macquarie Street Sydney for his laser vision correction.
One of Australia's most experienced eye surgeons, he undertook extensive post graduate training in London and Cambridge before returning to Sydney Eye Hospital in 1981 where he undertook further advanced training in corneal and oculo-plastic surgery. Since 1983 he has been a visiting ophthalmic surgeon at St Vincent's Hospital where he was head of the Eye Department for ten years. Dr Delaney is a clinical tutor in ophthalmology at the University of New South Wales.
Dr Delaney has lectured extensively on laser vision correction including presentations to the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology.
He was a Director of the Macquarie Street Excimer Laser Centre from 1998 to 2003 (until it became the Perfect Vision Laser Correction facility). It was one of the first excimer laser units in Australia having been established in 1991. To date in excess of 6,000 laser vision corrections have been performed at the centre including over 2,000 by Dr Delaney who established the centre's Lasik training programme.
